The InnoHK Centre for Eye and Vision Research (CEVR) is proud to have showcased our groundbreaking research and spin-off innovations at the 2026 Asia Summit on Global Health (ASGH).
Spotlight: Viromids
We were thrilled to present Viromids, a reusable, low-cost gene-delivery platform, inspired by a nonpathogenic virus that naturally inhabits more than 95% of humans, creating a versatile and scalable, immune-silent delivery vector platform. Viromids carry the most tolerated and highest fidelity form of nucleic acid - circular single-stranded DNA (ssDNA) - produced entirely in E.coil, enabling the lowest-cost, and largest-scale fermentation and purification.
Commercial Innovation: Entoptica
Beyond our core research, CEVR’s spin-off company, Entoptica, demonstrated the Structured Light Observation Perception and Evaluation (SLOPE) device—a leap forward in age-related macular degeneration precision diagnostic technology.
