Congratulations to Entoptica, a spin-off of CEVR, for their outstanding achievement at the 2025 Hong Kong Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Awards!

Entoptica, a spin-off of CEVR, has been awarded the Grand Award in the Hong Kong ICT Startup Award - Hardware and Device Category, while their product, the SLOPE (Structured Light Observation Perception and Evaluation) device, has received the prestigious Gold Award from the judging panel. The company was founded by Dr. Mukhit Kulmaganbetov, Co-founder & CEO, and Mr. Taranjit Singh, Co-founder & CTO.

It is a tremendous honor to receive the Grand Award from Prof. Sun Dong, JP, Secretary for Innovation, Technology, and Industry. We are especially grateful that Mr. Paul Chan, GBM, GBS, MH, JP, Financial Secretary, and Prof. Sun Dong visited our booth to learn more about SLOPE. Dr. Peter Pang, General Manager of CEVR, introduced the device, and they expressed great interest in our technology.

The SLOPE system is transforming the screening process for age-related macular degeneration (AMD) by enabling early detection through a quick, two-minute test that does not require pupil dilation, ensuring a comfortable experience for patients.

The judging panel praised SLOPE for its technological innovation and potential societal impact. By leveraging quantum technology in vision sciences, Entoptica offers a rapid, non-invasive, and more affordable alternative to traditional methods, enhancing accessibility to early diagnostics, especially in underserved communities.
