Exciting Times at the HICOOL Global Entrepreneurship Summit 2025!

The InnoHK Centre for Eye and Vision Research proudly participated in the 2025 HICOOL Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Beijing, China, from October 16-18! This marks our first time at this prestigious event. Our team showcased two innovative projects, with one also featured at the Knowledge Transfer and Entrepreneurship Office (KTEO), PolyU booth.

Eye-On-a-Chip Device - Revolutionizing rapid eye drug testing!

Structured Light Observation and Perception Evaluation (SLOPE) Device - An advanced device for assessing macular health!

Dr. Chau-Minh Phan, Assistant Scientific Director of CEVR, and Dr. Liping Zhou, Co-PI of CEVR, represented the Eye-On-a-Chip project. At the same time, Mr. Taranjit Singh, an affiliated researcher at CEVR, presented SLOPE. They captivated investors and industry leaders during the project roadshow, effectively introducing the projects to attendees. The response was overwhelmingly positive, generating numerous inquiries for collaboration to accelerate the commercialization of our research outcomes. This event allowed us to engage in in-depth discussions with potential collaborators and guests, fostering a vibrant atmosphere.

We were honored to have Prof. Christopher Chao, PolyU Senior Vice President (Research and Innovation), visit the CEVR booth and learn about our technology.

Thanks to our unique positioning in Hong Kong's eye and vision health sector, we also garnered media attention, leading to insightful interviews with our international collaborators.
